KAJA Sushi & Stirfry | Our Story
Two traditions, one restaurant
KAJA brings the precision of sushi and the bold heat of stirfry together in Urbana, Illinois — a genuinely great meal either way.

Two cuisines, one kitchen
Most restaurants pick a lane — KAJA doesn't. Handcrafted sushi rolls and wok-fired stirfry dishes share the menu equally, so you can order a rainbow roll and a bowl of udon noodles without compromise.

A space designed to stay in
A bold orange fish-scale mural, window counter seating, and warm wood tables — clean and welcoming, consistently praised by guests.

More than a restaurant — It's our alma mater's table
Tucked near the Krannert Center at the University of Illinois in Urbana, KAJA was born from a shared love of great food and the campus that brought our founders together — both proud U of I alumni. Today, it draws students, faculty, and families who keep coming back, partly for the food, and partly because it just feels like their place.
Fresh rolls, every time
From deep-fried rolls drizzled with spicy mayo to the $1 dollar sushi program — freshness is the one thing guests never stop mentioning.
